News of On Innards | Publication with Kaleid Editions

During October 2016, On Innards | Publication was busy with Kaleid Editions, featuring on their stand at Counter 2016, Plymouth Art book Fair on Saturday 29th October at Plymouth University.

And during Kaleid’s US tour, On Innards | Publication was  acquired by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) Joan Flasch Artists’ Books Collection, and the Metropolitan Museum, New York.

MoMA Library and Archives acquires On Innards | Publication for Collection

Thanks to KALEID on their US tour, the MoMA Library and Archives in New York has acquired On Innards | Publication for its collection.

On Innards | Publication is represented by KALEID editions for the year 2016-17, who are taking it on their US tour presenting it amongst a host of other fantastic European artist books to influential and important collections in the USA, including MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum, the School of Art Institute of Chicago, Yale, Lafayette and Swarthmore University.

KALEID editions is now representing On Innards | Publication.

KALEID editions represents European-based artists who do books and fosters publishing as artistic practice.

KALEID selected On Innards in May for its show, ‘KALEID 2016: Artists Who Do Books’ in Kunsthøgskolen, i Oslo, and then went on to show it at the Offprint London Art Publishing Fair at Tate Modern, London. They have just begun their US tour representing the collection to influential and important collections in the USA, including MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum, the School of Art Institute of Chicago, Yale, Lafayette and Swarthmore University.

On Innards | Publication – part of ‘Prescriptions’ exhibition at The Drawing Room, Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, Canterbury, 21 April – 25 September 2016

On Innards | Publication is part of the ‘Prescriptions’ exhibition at  The Drawing Room, Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, from 21 April- 25 September 2016, curated by Dr Stella Bolaki and Egidija Čiricaitė. The exhibition presents artists’ books by Maine book artist Martha Hall for the first time in the UK, alongside artists’ books by national and international artists responding to themes of art and wellbeing. Hall’s books, created from 1998 until her death in 2003, document her experiences with breast cancer and her interactions with the medical community.

On Innards | Publication at Artists’ Books and the Medical Humanities symposium & Prescriptions exhibition, Beaney House, Canterbury

Amanda Couch will be presenting On Innards | Publication alongside her own recent bookworks at the Artists’ Books and the Medical Humanities: Interdisciplinary Symposium on Thursday 21 April 2016, Cathedral Lodge, Canterbury. The symposium launches the Prescriptions exhibition of artists’ books by Martha A. Hall and other artists at the Beaney Museum of Art & Knowledge, Canterbury, Kent, where On Innards | Publication will be on show. The exhibition continues until Sunday 14 August 2016.

The symposium, co-organised by the University of Kent’s School of English and the University of New England’s Maine Women Writers Collection, will explore connections between artists’ books, health/illness and medicine.
